ASTEP Principal Investigator Workshop
January 20-21, 2004 in Boulder, Colorado

The first Astrobiology Science and Technology for Exploring Planets (ASTEP) Principal Investigator Workshop will be held January 20-21, 2004 in Boulder, Colorado.

With the completion of the first year of technology development and field campaigns within the ASTEP program, it is important to share lessons learned to guide the program in the future.  As such, first year PIs will be given approximately one hour each on the agenda for detailed discussions of their experiences and results.  In addition,  second year PIs will be given an opportunity to discuss their proposed work.  Finally, forums will be held to discuss effective means of transitioning knowledge gained from the ASTEP program towards one of the key program goals, exploring planets.

We would appreciate confirmation of your attendance at this workshop to logistics coordinator Shirley Berthold (sberthold@mail.arc.nasa.gov) as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing you in January and to hearing about your very interesting projects.
